We treated clothes prior to a trip to Latin America In late April 2009. We encountered few insects, so we cannot judge it’s ability as a repellant. We sprayed every kind of outer garment, including polished shoes, and the product did not stain or otherwise damage anything. It is a bit pricey even in large size.

I have used this before and have found it to be 100% effective (if you follow the directions). Make sure you read them and understand that this product is not just another “bug spray”. Only use on clothes and make sure you let it dry! I am in the woods a lot in the summer months and would not think of entering them without first treating my clothes, boots and headgear with this product. Also I use it during hunting season,especially archery when the bugs are the worst! No chigger bites and mosquito’s won’t spend more than a second on you if at all. Best of all for us hunters is that there is no smell or odor. I just wish I could buy it locally!

This product works for removing infestation in small areas or clothing. Might be useful for a camping trip. Not so effective for clearing your home where a prefessional might need to clear an infestation.

This stuff works great against mosquitoes and ticks and is safe when dry but extreme care needs to be used when spraying it on your clothes. You want to make sure you don’t get any on your skin, that you don’t breathe in any of the spray particles. It is also extremely toxic to cats so if you have a kitty you want to be extremely careful that you apply it in a place where kitty can’t get near it. Once it dries it is a lot less dangerous to mammals but is still very toxic to insects.

Works as advertised. Spent 10 days birding in Costa Rica. Was worried more about chiggers than mosquitoes or ticks. Sprayed our sock tops, pant legs, hats and shirt cuffs. Didn’t have a single chigger. Others in our group did. So, I guess this stuff works.
